Come join us...

Sean, Lisha and I are going to the Hampton Bays Theatre tomorrow to see "Over the Hedge". After the movie we plan to check out the new Friendly's. Since it's supposed to be raining tomorrow morning, we thought we would go to the first show. It would be fun if you all could join us! Let's meet at the theatre/Dunkin' Donuts at 11:30AM. As Matthew would say, "be there or be square!" Let's see if we can get all the cousins -- big and little -- there.

(If you can't make it to the movies, maybe you could join us at Friendly's afterward. Or if you can't stay for Friendly's, come to the movies anyway. You get the idea..!)

I don't think Caleb is quite ready for the movies and since our baysitter is going to the movies, I think we will have to sit this one out. I'd like to try to make it to friendly's though. i'm not sure if we have a saturday plan yet. i'll let you know when I know. thanks for the invite, although it wasn't just for me...

I agree Caleb might not want to sit through a movie if he was awake, but maybe if he was asleep...or maybe either you or Heath could come? But, definitely come to Friendly's!! We should be out of the movies around 1:45.

The boys and I will probably try to come. Rachael will be sleeping and I don't think even she is quite ready for a full length movie so...I'll tell Tom to call me when she wakes up and maybe they can come to Friendly's! Sounds like tons of fun! Thanks for the invite!

Great! I'm glad you guys will be able to make it. I think it will be fun!

you may have to call Lissa and Andrew to ask them, i don't think they check the blogs too often.

Connie said...

I sent them an email. Do you think they'll check that?

the editor said...

I don't think so.

Connie said...

Okay, I called Andrew. He said it sounds good, but he needs to check.
I should probably call Tia and Sherry, too, huh? I sent them emails...

Call...i don't think you can rely on the blog for anyone besides Carolyn and Myself.

Connie said...

I spoke to Sherry and I guess she will be working (boo!). And I called Tia on her cell and left a message. If anyone speaks to her, tell her the plan, okay?

What does that make us, bloghogs? blog addicts?

Connie said...

Bloghogs. Good one.
:)

I prefer to think that we are more technically savvy and computer literate...;)

i think it means somehow we have too much time on our hands to be able to sit down and check the blogs, what three, four times a day?
i can tell you i put Caleb down and let him cry, and i check the blog...does that make me an addict or perhaps a bad momma?

Connie said...

A bad momma? Never! You are a great mother and Caleb is one very lucky baby. Otherwise, why would he love you so much???
And we don't have too much time on our hands -- we just know how to manage our time better.
Yeah, that's it. We manage our time better!

I think i'll agree with Aunt Connie. Her answer sounds better. You're not a bad momma!

Just because someone doesn't comment, doesn't mean they aren't checking the blog as often as those who leave a comment.

Actually, those who take the time to create blogs and write posts and comments are giving their families a great gift. Because of their efforts, the families have a unique way of staying in touch with one another. We are able to see what is going on in the lives of those we love and care about even if we can't see them all the time. There is a special connection between us because of the nation, planet, sea, den, galaxy, place, generation, tribune, 7, and "smorgasblog".
Let's not sell ourselves short!

who ever brave new world was should have left their real name. such truth and eliquent writing should be able to be given deserved credit.

and no, i didn't write it... i wouldn't toot my own horn like that, would I?

Very nicely said, brave new world! Rock on Bloghogs of the world!

Interesting choice for a name, though. "Brave New World"... the title of a novel that has become synonymous with a future society devoid of family, culture, art, religion, and love... yet a society of people that are universally, blissfully happy - their happiness being chemically and artificially produced by the all-controlling world government. Is our happiness, our connection with each other, being controlled by the Internet?
Is Al Gore to blame?

okay!

So, how was the movie? More importantly, how was Friendly's?

You guys are great. Just because we don't always comment doesn't mean we don't care. I love the blogs and they do make me feel connected to everyone. And you all do manage your time well!

The movie was good, Friendly's was fab and the company was even better! Wish you were here with us! We'll have to do it again next month!

Good job on picking up on the irony of the brave new world moniker, Henry. Our blogs are all about family, love and caring, our culture and how we live our lives. Nothing artificial or chemically produced. Our happiness is not controlled by the government or dependent on the internet. It's shared on the internet. Happiness that was there before Al Gore invented the internet. Our brave new world is as old as time, a family that loves and cares for each other regardless of inventions, government or society's idea that we are corny, religious people. We have every reason to be brave. We are FAMILY.
